Chick Brooder Box Kit – Safe, Strong & Ready for Your Flock
 
Our handmade brooder boxes are custom-built using untreated plywood and a sturdy pine frame — making them a safer, more durable option than some standard store-bought brooder setups. Many commercial boxes use treated wood with no structoral support, but we prioritise chick safety with natural, chemical-free materials and a solid pine frame construction.
 
Size: 90cm long x 42.5cm wide x 46cm high inc being raised 3.5cm off the ground with pine supports. Best suited for indoor or undercover use.
 
Each kit is made to order (1-week turnaround) and includes everything you need to get started:
• Adjustable heat plate (safer than heat lamps) •
Bag of soft shavings
• Starter feed
• 2x puppy pads (helps control moisture & protects the base)
• Food & water containers
• Rodent-proof mesh top
• Comfortably fits 10–12 chicks
